We're at 421 Main in Pecatonica!

Many, many thanks to my husband, Bob and my brother-in-law, Bill and Ted who put in countless hours for two months to transform Crooked River Cafe into Lucky 2B Quilting.

Thank you to Sally who is my guide on the side and gave up her husband for two months.

Thank yous go out to my most wonderful family, and friend Deb, who helped lay the floor, brought food, and moved the store over Memorial Day Weekend - John and Holly, Amy, Dana and Chad, Leah and Lane, and Ross.

The old building has lots of architectural details like the stained glass transom windows, actually two pieces of stained glass, one behind the other! The bevel-edged leaded glass has been beautifully restored. Inspirations for quilt patterns?

Spacious, light and bright, and tons more room for fabrics and displays.

Lucky 2B Quilting was opened for business in January 2008 in the heart of Pecatonica by Polly Perkins and her cat named Lucky. Lucky was adopted from the Freeport Animal Hospital on a Friday the thirteenth. He has a wishbone on his face. Surely he is a lucky kitty and provides luck to all customer projects.

Polly Perkins, shop owner, has tons of experience teaching and quilting.

Polly can do custom work -- to finish a quilt with hand quilting, make a commemorative quilt, or design one to fill a special need or special gift.

Polly's sister Sally is also a knowledgeable quilter and is available to help you with quilting questions and lessons.

 

Beginning Quilter? -- $10 for a one-on-one session. Just call for an appointment.

 

Need help with a project? Call or email Polly and Lucky or just come in to the store.

 

 

 

 

The store carries Thimbleberries fabric, flannels, especially baby designs, and quilters cotton for your projects. Plus, there are notions, books, and patterns. Come see our Civil War fabric collection, lots of bolts of this hot trend.
