Punchneedle Class with Christine Leonhardt
Wed, Jan 24   2:00 - 4:00   $15.00
We are now carrying Punchneedle patterns and supplies!
Join us to learn the basics of Punchneedle!

Punchneedle is a technique using a hollow needle that is threaded with a thread or fiber. When the needle is punched into the fabric, it leaves a little loop of thread on the other side. The loops are repeated to fill in a design. This is a fun, easy and relaxing art form to learn! Patterns are small and easy to use almost anywhere!

Aunt Grace's Basket Scraps
1930's BOM Starting in March

As the innovator of 1930's reproduction fabrics, Judie Rothermel contines the tradition in 2018 once again by "creating something old from something new" in her Aunt Grace Baskets of Scraps collection. Inside the patchwork border, appliqued blocks mimic the look of English Paper Piecing without the extra work.

This BOM is a 9 month program featuring the "Aunt Grace Basket of Scraps" fabric collection and includes over 21 yards of fabric to complete a 90.5" x 96.5" for a Queen size quilt or 96.5" x 102.5" for a King size quilt as well as the Aunt Grace Basket of Scraps pattern book designed by It's Sew Emma. Basket of Scraps templates are optional and sold separately.

The cheerful patchwork border perfectly illustrates how even the smallest pieces in ones "Basket of Scraps" can combine to create one of the best elements of this quilt. It is only the size of the pieced border that differentiates the King and Queen size quilt options and the yardage requirements are the same for both versions.

Program runs for 9 months from March 2018 to November 2018 and is ready for pickup or optional shipping by the 1st Saturday of each month. Each months block kit will contain the fabrics for that months section of the quilt. The final month will include the finishing materials and binding.

Reservation fee / Month 1 is $32.00, months 2-9 are $24.99 each plus optional shipping of $5.00 per month. Call the shop to sign up today! (815) 239-1026.
